Stalk Your Friends with Verizon and Loopt

"Want to stalk your friends? Verizon can help.

Verizon Wireless next month will offer access to Loopt, a social networking service that utilizes GPS technology to let you keep tabs on yours friends' location. You have to opt-in and pay $3.99 a month for the service, though, so friends won't be able to monitor your whereabouts without your consent.

Users will be able to see where their friends are via a map display on their phone, and share their whereabouts with anyone in their address book or AIM buddy lists.

Loopt has previously only been available via Boost Mobile on certain Motorola phones. Loopt for Verizon will be available on about 20 "Get It Now"-enabled phones, including the Chocolate by LG, the Motorizr Z6tv, and the G'zOne Type-S."
